Inspiration for my paintings comes from simple things. For the most part, I focus on a single image. I attempt to interpret the subject in a variety of ways. I use sketches and photographs to examine the image up close, from a distance, and at different angles. I use whatever medium that seems appropriate, and invite the viewer to look at the singular beauty of ordinary things.
