As a figurative painter, I have a constant desire to paint the people around me in a meaningful way. Human beings and our relationships are an endless source of creative energy to invent paintings. Forming this type of art is often a matter of struggling with technique and intention to create images truthful to nature and deep with significance. Despite living in an extremely visual time, I believe painting still stands alone in its ability to captivate the mind of the viewer in a rational and thoughtful way. My work deals with these issues of the figure and landscape in their ability to move us emotionally and intellectually. I thank God for the grace given me to paint and the enjoyable nature of this medium.
